ByteJourney (“we,” “us,” or “our”) offers Clap to Find My Phone as a free app with optional ads and subscriptions. Your privacy is important. This document explains what information the app uses, how it’s handled, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

No Personal Data Collection

We do not collect personal information. The app does not require an account or sign-in to use its main features.

Microphone Access

The app needs access to your device’s microphone to detect clap or whistle sounds and help locate your phone.

• Why it’s needed: To recognize claps/whistles and trigger the find‑phone alert.
• On‑device processing: Sound detection happens locally on your phone — no audio is uploaded, stored, or shared.
• Your choice: You can turn off microphone access in system settings. Doing so may disable the core functionality.

Camera (Flashlight) Access

The app requests camera permission solely to control the device flashlight for visual alerts.

• Purpose: To flash the light while you’re searching for your phone.
• Data use: We do not take photos or record video, and no imagery is saved.
• Your choice: You can revoke camera permission at any time; the flashlight alert may then be unavailable.

Subscriptions & Payments

If you upgrade to premium (e.g., to remove ads or unlock features), purchases are processed by the Google Play Store. Google handles all billing. We do not access or store your payment details.

Advertising Partners

The app may display ads from third parties that use anonymous data to improve relevance and measure performance. Typical uses include:

• Showing ads tailored to general interests
• Measuring and improving ad effectiveness
• Optimizing when and how ads are shown

Our advertising partners may include (but are not limited to):

• AdMob (Google)
• AppLovin
• Vungle
• Pangle
• Meta Audience Network

Log & Diagnostic Data

If an error occurs, third‑party tools (for example, Firebase) may collect non‑identifying diagnostic data such as device model, OS version, timestamps, and crash details. We use this data only to troubleshoot and improve stability.

Cookies

Some third‑party SDKs may use “cookies” or similar technologies to provide and refine features. You can refuse cookies in your settings, but some features might not work as expected.

Children’s Privacy

Clap to Find My Phone is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn that such data was provided, we will delete it. Parents or guardians who believe a child has provided information should contact us.

Subscription Management & Refunds

• Manage or cancel: You can manage subscriptions through your Google Play account settings.

While we do not collect personal information, we apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to help safeguard app operations and data handled by our service providers.
